In the sunny western town of Sunnybrook, there lived a little girl named Marigold Finch. Dressed in her bright yellow dress, she shimmered like a sunbeam—warm, cheerful, and impossible to ignore.

Marigold carried a magical secret: she could see the ribbons hidden inside sunlight. While others saw ordinary daylight, she saw swirling strands of gold dancing in the air. Whenever the town felt gloomy, the crops struggled, or the kids were down, she would collect a shimmering “sunshine ribbon” using nothing but her handmade bouquet and her brave little heart.

One spring, Sunnybrook fell under an unusually long spell of rain. Colors faded from the fields, the school festival was at risk of being canceled, and the fruit trees slumped sadly toward the ground.
Marigold looked at the heavy sky and whispered, “Don’t worry. I’ll find the sunshine.”

Climbing the tallest hill, she stretched her hands toward the clouds.
Then—like magic—a thin golden ribbon appeared through a crack of light. She grabbed it, and it burst into a warm glowing orb that spread across the entire town.

The fruit trees lifted, kids laughed again, and Sunnybrook glowed brighter than ever.
From that day on, everyone said:
As long as Marigold Finch was around, the sunshine would never leave them.
